This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I got a large set of prisma a month ago for cheap, but what attempts have been made are horrid. I originally wanted a set of grey in like 20,40,60% to grasp the shading. but the set i actually have is about 27 different shades of red with a few other primaries.
apparently links cant be trusted on this site so check my newest sub to see what im talking about in terms of fail.
youre paintings kick ass. try to use markers like paint, just slightly more transluscent. the cars I do have 4 planes usually. the shadows(I use 30-90% grey over the full value), the constant, usually full value of the natural color, the reflection, which I usually use colored pencil so I can shade from constant color to basically white(cause I'm reproducing painted metal), and the hi-lights, mainly white paint to reproduce reflections of the sun, or whatever light source it may be. I'd say the prismacolors only constitute 40-50% of a finished peice. Really, the best teacher is experience, and, pardon my french-canadian, fucking up over and over. wish I had all that time back. It's kinda like photoshop, layer over layer over layer ,'till ya get the desired effect. Hope this helps.
well thx a lot for checking it out, painting is new to me but i hope to become versatile in many mediums.
This : "I use 30-90% grey over the full value" : just blew my mind.
ive been sinking the same color ( or darker) colors for shadows. so that should help immensely. ive been trying to remember where the white highlight was and trying NOT to color over it but i always fail that. Im about to start my little marker project so ill post it here for sure. thanks again dude im psyched now.
